A Global Luxury Fashion House is looking for a Head of Legal overseeing the business in the APAC region with focus in HK and Mainland China business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle and provide legal support to disputes and contentious matters in HK and PRC in areas of law e.g. product quality and consumer right protection in both Hong Kong and PRC
• Liaise with external counsel on contentious or complex legal matters
• Provide legal advice to Retail Business, including reviewing and negotiating real estates and tenancy agreements with landlords in both HK and PRC
• Provide legal advice to Wholesale Business, including reviewing various commercial agreements with existing and potential authorised retailers in areas including, but not limited to, Retailer Agreements, Distribution Agreements
• Provide legal advisory services to all functional divisions, including Communications, Marketing, IT, Logistics, Store Project, Finance and HR
• Keeping up to date with regulatory changes, advising management and relevant departments of such, and ensuring legal compliance with local rules and regulations
• Provide advice to management in relation to corporate and commercial legal practices, issues, and potential risks and assist in implementation of group policy and procedure
• Report to Headquarters Intellectual Property Department for infringement
• Ensure all legal documents and agreements are in compliance to Headquarters’ requirements and ensure corporate compliance for HK and PRC entities

Key Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer of any common law jurisdiction, 5-12 years' PQE gained in law firms or a reputable MNC
• Related experience in retail / wholesale business, and/or within the real estate sector, preferably with strong exposure to PRC laws and practices
• Strong commercial contracts review and drafting skills
• Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese
