Jill Wiley, managing partner of Arizona law firm Waterfall, Economidis, Caldwell, Hanshaw & Villamana, has been named as the new chair of the board of Meritas, a global alliance of independent law firms.

Wiley who has been a member of Meritas for 25 years, takes over the reins of from Dennis Unkovic, partner at Pittsburgh-based Meyer, Unkovic & Scott.

A certified public accountant since 1987, Wiley’s legal practice focuses on estate planning, probate and trust administration, and trust and estate litigation. She also advises on forming and operating charitable foundations.

Wiley’s term will last two years. She was previously the finance committee chair on Meritas’ executive committee, and also a board member.
