Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has hired funds specialist Vedant Shukla as a partner at its Mumbai office from IDFC Alternatives, where he was a vice-president for legal.

Shukla’s practice areas are fund structuring and formation, private equity investments and mergers and acquisitions. He is responsible for documentation and negotiation pertaining to the deals in fund investment in various sectors like real estate, infrastructure, pharma and financial services.

Shukla’s arrival marks the second partner hire from in-house for CAM this year. Earlier this year, the firm appointed Bharat Vasani as a corporate partner in Mumbai from Tata Group.

CAM’s funds practice is headed by Shagoofa Rashid Khan, while partner Reeba Chacko heads its corporate practice nationwide.
