Singapore law firm Oon & Bazul has boosted its disputes practice by hiring litigator Sean La’Brooy as a partner from city rival Colin Ng & Partners.

With 18 years of experience, La’Brooy advises professionals on liabilities, acting in matters relating to investment disputes, and in disciplinary proceedings conducted by statutory bodies, such as the Singapore Medical Council and Singapore Dental Council.

La’Brooy is also an accredited Associate Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC), and a Senior Teaching Fellow at the Singapore Institute of Legal Education (SILE). Additionally, he is known for his pro bono work: In 2010, La’Brooy helped set up a legal clinic at Moulmein Constituency to aid needy residents who were unable to pay for legal services.

Prior to joining Colin Ng, La’Brooy worked with Wee, Tay & Lim, WongPartnership and the legacy Rodyk & Davidson.
