Vice President  Content Protection ~ Asia Pacific Hong Kong

You will execute the global content protection strategy including setting and implementing the specific strategy for the Asia Pacific region whilst building effective relationships with Asia Pacific based partners from local commercial entities, industry counterparts and the relevant Asia Pacific law enforcement representatives necessary to successfully implement local and global strategies.

This Hong Kong based role as Vice President, Content Protection, Asia Pacific will focus on content protection objectives which include protecting intellectual property rights and supporting related security practices for those who create entertainment content for audiences around the world.

This position is primarily responsible for managing all Asia Pacific based Content Protection and enforcement issues as they arise alongside managing all regional content protection teams. 

The ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to distil key trends and data points that will inform a Content Protection strategy for the country and protect the entertainment industry’s business activities within Asia Pacific.

Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to deliver professional results on short deadlines amidst shifting priorities while remaining poised.

  

Key Responsibilities   

  • Understand detailed forensic analysis of online content, including reviewing infrastructure of online platforms and sites. 
  • Generate, manipulate and analyze large datasets comprised of both internally-generated information and data provided by various third-party resources. 
  • Regular liaison with content protection enforcement divisions of other trade associations in China to stay abreast of content protection developments and coordinate actions where desirable. 

Education and Experience Requirements   

  • A Master’s degree with a concentration in business and/or computer science. 
  • Educational background and/or prior employment experience in content protection strategy, law enforcement (high tech crime/Internet investigations), computer science, digital media, media research or equivalent. 

Qualifications

  • Must possess the highest level of work ethics and integrity with the ability to maintain confidential information. 
  • Experience generating and manipulating large datasets while maintaining a high level of accuracy. 
  • Ability to swiftly search the Internet, navigate complex websites and manipulate online media files. 
  • Strong and highly technical experience with online content distribution methods, including streaming video, online file hosting and peer-to-peer sharing. 
  • Understanding website analytics, illegal digital distribution models e.g streaming protocol technologies, social media piracy, and all forms of other popular forms
  • Experience manipulating large datasets while maintaining a high level of precision and accuracy.
