Hong Kong boutique law firm FitzGerald Lawyers has hired corporate and finance expert Denis Petkovic as a partner in Hong Kong from Withers, where he was a senior partner.

During his 30-year career, Petkovic has specialised in project financings and other banking transactions, energy, mergers and acquisitions, insolvencies, and restructurings.

Prior to his eight-year stint at Withers, Petkovic was a partner at Chadbourne & Parke in London. His arrival means that FitzGerald now has three partners in Hong Kong, the others being Hans Lee and managing partner Darren FitzGerald.

“Denis (Petkovic) is a guru in the corporate space, with particular experience in projects and banking & finance.  His arrival will further strengthen the firm’s offerings internationally and locally,” said Darren FitzGerald in a statement.

At The Macallan ALB Hong Kong Law Awards 2018, FitzGerald Lawyers was named as the Rising Law Firm of the Year.
