Allen & Gledhill, Singapore’s largest law firm, has established an alliance with Indonesian law firm Soemadipradja & Taher (S&T).

As part of the alliance, the Singaporean firm has hired Oene J. Marseille as a foreign law partner from Ali Budiardjo, Nugroho, Reksodiputro. Marseille has spent over 18 years in Jakarta as a foreign registered lawyer practising in the areas of corporate, M&A, foreign investment and project finance.

S&T was established in 1991 by Rahmat Sadeli Soebagia Soemadipradja and Hafzan Taher. According to the ALB Top 50 in 2018, it was the 10th largest law firm in Indonesia, with 50 attorneys, including eight partners. S&T also maintains relationships with Australia’s Corrs Chambers Westgarth and Japan’s Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu.

A&G has an associate firm in Malaysia, Rahmat Lim & Partners, as well as an office in Myanmar, Allen & Gledhill (Myanmar), which opened in 2014.
