Carl Anduri, the president of law firm network Lex Mundi, is set to step down from his role after 19 years. He will be succeeded by Helena Samaha, who is currently the interim head of legal for media programming at telecommunications company Liberty Global.

Samaha, who will start in her new position on June 1, has held both private practice and in-house roles over a 25-year career in London, Paris and Dubai. She has held general counsel or senior in-house legal positions at Virgin Management, AlixPartners and OSN, apart from her current role at Liberty Global. Her private practice experience includes working as a partner at DLA Piper and as a solicitor at Clifford Chance.

In 2017, Anduri had announced that he would be stepping down this year. “It has been an honour to serve as Lex Mundi’s President for the past 19 years and to have the opportunity to work with our outstanding member firms and headquarters staff.  It has been an incredibly exciting and rewarding professional experience.  I now look forward to Helena leading Lex Mundi to new heights,” he said in a statement.
