Mayer Brown has appointed M&A lawyer Sheng Wu as a partner in the firm’s corporate and securities practice in Hong Kong from DLA Piper.
Wu, who spent seven years at DLA, is well versed in both corporate and regulatory matters in the insurance, financial services and health care sectors. He has experience advising international investors and companies on M&A and investment opportunities in China and other parts of Asia.
Wu’s appointment comes a month after Mayer Brown’s Hong Kong office hired another M&A lawyer, Steven Tran from Hogan Lovells.
