Seoul-headquartered Yulchon has named Yong Sup Yoon, Seok Hoon Kang and Hee Woong Yoon as the firm’s new managing partners. This marks the first time that the firm’s founders will not be involved in the firm’s leadership. 

The trio will lead Yulchon for a three-year term.

Yong Sup Yoon’s practice focuses on dispute resolution, general civil disputes, securities/finance disputes, constitutional law disputes, white collar crimes and insolvency & restructuring.

Kang practices primarily in the areas of taxation, customs and litigation law. Before joining Yulchon, he served as a judge at various courts for 17 years.

Meanwhile, Hee Woong Yoon advises clients on complex cross-border M&A transactions and counsels Korean conglomerates and foreign multi-national companies in a variety of industries.

Yulchon, which was founded in 1997 as Woo Yun Kang Jeong & Han is the fifth-largest law firm in South Korea. According to the ALB Top 50 Rankings of 2018, the firm had 427 lawyers in total, including 158 partners.
