The Singapore office of 39 Essex Chambers, a noted UK barristers’ chambers, has strengthened its arbitration practice with the hire of Steven Lim from CMS, where he was a senior partner in the local office.

Lim has more than 25 years of experience in international arbitration and dispute resolution. His areas of focus include disputes stemming from private equity, M&A, joint ventures, hotel management, trading contracts, oil and gas and energy, offshore services and engineering, and shipbuilding and construction.

A panel arbitrator with the SIAC, HKIAC, ICDR, KCAB, AIAC and THAC, Lim was previously the managing partner of Clyde & Co Clasis, Clyde’s formal law alliance in the city-state.
