Magic circle firm with unparalleled international experience of structuring and executing the largest, most innovative and most complex debt transactions is now looking for Associates/Managing Associates to join the team in Hong Kong.

Candidate requirements 

• You will need to be qualified to practice law in Hong Kong with relevant experience
• 2-6 PQE ideally but star candidates outside this are welcome to apply
• Excellent academics including at least a 2:1 degree or equivalent
• Fluency in English and Mandarin required.
• Experience within a top tier firm would have an added advantage
• International candidates are welcomed to apply

Key responsibilities and challenges

• Technical  •Taking initial instructions internally or externally, delegating where appropriate. • Research, due diligence and information management. • Drafting and reviewing documentation, demonstrating familiarity with precedents and market standards. 
• Client Relationship Management •Taking a lead role in advising the client under appropriate supervision. • Providing commercial and legal advice to the client. • Demonstrating thorough market knowledge to identify current trends and concerns in relevant industry sectors. Able to present ideas to the client to resolve current market issues and anticipate potential problems.
• Training • Coaching less experienced associates and trainees; and • Regularly giving and seeking clear performance feedback to/from others.
