Addleshaw Goddard has appointed disputes lawyer Ronald Sum to lead its Asian litigation practice in Hong Kong from Locke Lord, where he was the East Asia head of arbitration and ADR.
Sum's practice specialises in China-related matters, cross-border disputes, commercial disputes, regulatory investigations, transport and logistics, international trade, insurance and reinsurance, product liability and product recall.
Sum was one of three lawyers who joined Locke Lord in April last year from Troutman Sanders, which closed its Asia offices shortly afterwards. He was earlier a partner at DLA Piper, Eversheds and Blank Rome.
Sum is the third partner hire for Addleshaws in Asia this year, following the additions of corporate partners Lance Jiang and Ton Van Den Bosch in Singapore.
