India’s HSA Associates has acquired Mumbai-based infrastructure-focused law firm GS Associates, with its managing partner Geeta Saha coming on board as a partner.

The acquisition comes shortly after HSA hired Gaurav Sahay as a partner in Bengaluru from Kochhar & Co and acquired boutique firm DLS Law Offices.

This marks a period of rebuilding for the firm, which in April lost 12 lawyers, including senior partners Anjan Dasgupta and Aparajit Bhattacharya, to rival DSK Legal across three cities.

Saha advises clients on infrastructure projects including highways, power (hydro, wind, solar and thermal), ports, real estate and manufacturing plants. She has represented banks on external commercial borrowings and project finance transactions. Saha also provides advice on intellectual property and real estate laws.

Before co-founding GS Associates, Saha was a partner at boutiques DH Law Associates and P&P Legal.
