PE-specialist law firm Goodwin Procter has appointed Wenseng “Wendy” Pan as a partner in its life sciences practice in Hong Kong from Sidley Austin’s New York office.

Pan, who started her career at Sullivan & Cromwell, also worked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, before joining O’Melveny & Myers in Shanghai, where she became a partner. She moved to Sidley Austin in April 2015.

Focusing on mergers and acquisitions, technology-based transactions and strategic collaborations primarily in the life sciences industry and in cross-border settings, Pan, regularly advises Chinese, U.S., and multinational life sciences and technology companies. 

Last September, Goodwin hired debt finance specialist Daniel Lindsey as a partner in its private equity practice in Hong Kong. The firm now has 20 lawyers in Hong Kong, including seven partners.
