King & Wood Mallesons has continued expanding its Hong Kong office after hiring Katherine Ke as a partner in its banking & finance practice in Hong Kong from Clifford Chance, where she was a counsel.
Ke’s hire is KWM’s fourth partner-level lateral in Hong Kong this year. In April, the firm appointed Rachel Yu as a partner from Herbert Smith Freehills. In January, the firm hired Ashley Wong and Wang Yu from Mayer Brown and Morrison & Foerster, respectively.
Ke has over 15 years of experience advising PRC and multinational clients on cross-border financing transactions. She represents lead arrangers, lenders, sponsors and corporates in a range of PRC inbound and outbound transactions including general syndicated loans, project finance, structured finance, trade finance and receivables finance. She also focuses on asset finance and the aviation sector.
