Chinese law firm T&D Associates will sponsor the Innovative In-house Team of the Year award at the ALB Japan Law Awards 2019.

The 15th edition of the awards will be held at the Grand Hyatt, Tokyo on June 13. Awards given out in different categories will showcase the numerous achievements of the legal industry in Japan over the past year.

On its association with the ALB Japan Law awards, the firm said, "as a prestigious boutique law firm with its practice focus attached on antitrust and antidumping fields, T&D Associates is honored to be the award sponsor for the “T&D Associates Award Innovative In-House Team of the Year” for the 15th Annual ALB Japan Law Awards 2019. By sponsoring such an award, T&D Associates aims to encourage the innovative spirit of the in-house teams to achieve the better future."

T&D Associates is the first and largest antitrust law firm in China. The anti-trust team, which was established in 2003, assists clients on all aspects of the Anti-Monopoly Law of China with expertise in a broad range of antitrust issues, including merger filings, cartels investigations and abuses of dominance investigations.

Since 2008, T&D Associates has represented clients in more than 400 merger filings in China. It was also the first Chinese law firm to be involved in monopoly agreements and abuse of dominance cases. Till date, most multinationals involved in such cases have been represented by T&D. 

The finalists for the T&D Associates Award Innovative In-House Team of the Year are Airbnb, CA Technologies, IBM Japan, Morgan Stanley, Renesas Electronics, Schneider Electric, Softbank Group, Takeda Pharmaceutical.
