- An interesting in-house opportunity for a mid-level lawyer in the healthcare sector.
- Our client provides a range of services to healthcare communities across Asia including faciliating information exchange, marketing solutions and communications planning.
- Our client is looking to expand its regional legal team with the hire of a regional counsel based in Kuala Lumpur to look after legal and compliance matters for its businesses in Malaysia, the Philippines, India and the Middle-East.
- Candidates should have experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements including NDAs, services agreements, license agreements, purchase agreements, agency and distribution agreements.
- Responsibilties will also include providing corporate secretarial support and conducting legal training for the business.
- Limited travel to India, UAE and the Philippines will be required.
Qualification
- Law degree and at least 5 years PQE.
- Previous international experience and working in-house with a MNC is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of contract law and company law with demonstrated experience of drafting and negotiating commerical contracts.
- Ability to anticipate business and legal issues proactively to ensure that risks are identified and proper actions implemented in a timely manner.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a pragmatic/business-oriented approach to legal issues.
- A team player but able to work independently as the sole legal counsel in the Kuala Lumpur office.
