Korean law firm Yoon & Yang has hired Edward Dhong as a partner in Seoul from IBM, where he was head of investigations for Asia Pacific, Greater China, and Japan.

Dhong, who spent more than 15 years at his previous company, focuses on corporate investigations, regulatory compliance, anti-trust competition and general corporate law. At IBM, Dhong supervised lawyers and investigators to conduct and manage investigations on potential fraud, corruption, conflict of interest, and other corporate misconduct.

Before joining IBM, Dhong had stints at now-defunct law firm Coudert Brothers, and Baker McKenzie.

Earlier this year, Yoon & Yang hired Sungwook Cho, a former chief prosecutor with the Daejeon High Prosecutors’ Office, as a managing partner in Seoul.
