This is a great in-house opportunity with a global sports agency that has long-term partnerships with global sports organization and brands and is also a leading agency in the esports sector.  Our client's business in Asia focuses on managing sponsorship, media and event management for some of the biggest sports events in Asia, represents the rights and interests of top sporting personalities, content creation and media production and distribution services.

Duties and Areas of Responsibility:

  • Providing legal support and advice to the group’s business activities in Asia-Pacific.
  • Drafting, negotiating and advising on a broad range of commercial and corporate contracts relating to the exploitation of commercial rights to sporting events.
  • Providing general advice on legal matters arising from the group’s corporate structure and operations across Asia-Pacific.
  • Providing legal support and advice on general corporate and company secretarial matters.
  • Developing and updating legal precedents as required.
  • Liaising with external counsel and regional offices on a variety of legal matters.
  • Advising on and managing compliance matters relating to the group’s Asia-Pacific business.
  • Supporting the implementation of group policies and training.
  • Reporting regularly and as required on all legal and compliance matters to the General Counsel Asia.

 Candidate must:

  • Be an enthusiastic and hard-working team player.
  • Be qualified to practise law in a commonwealth jurisdiction (preferably Singapore).
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience including working in a commercial in-house environment, preferably in the sports/media/entertainment sector, in Asia.
  • Be solution-driven and possess excellent drafting and communication skills.
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English.
