ZICO Law’s Malaysian firm, Zaid Ibrahim & Co, has welcomed back Jonathan Lim Hon Kiat as a partner in its corporate practice Kuala Lumpur from local boutique Koh Dipendra Jeremiah Law (KDJ Law), where he led the fintech practice.

Lim, who started his career as an associate at Zaid Ibrahim & Co. in 2007, is currently secretary of the FinTech Association of Malaysia. He advises clients on compliance matters relating to regulatory developments in the industry as set out by the Malaysian central bank (Bank Negara Malaysia) and the Malaysian Securities Commission. Lim’s clients include companies and banks, and also start-ups and venture capital firms.
