Sidley Austin has hired Meng Ding as a partner in its China corporate and finance group from Kirkland & Ellis in Hong Kong.

Ding had joined Kirkland as a partner from Davis Polk & Wardwell, where he spent eight years as an associate.    

With experience in capital markets and M&A transactions, Ding focuses on TMT, healthcare, financial institutions, hard-tech and other emerging technology fields. He has advised clients on Hong Kong IPOs, U.S. IPOs and follow-on offerings, pre-IPO investments, U.S. public company going-private transactions, and Rule 144A and Regulation S bond offerings.

Ding’s arrival takes the number of partners at Sidley’s Hong Kong office to 17.
