Eversheds Sutherland has strengthened its litigation practice in Hong Kong with the hire of Mark Hughes as a partner from Slaughter and May, where he spent 16 years and led the Asia disputes practice.
Hughes is experienced in international arbitration, proceedings before specialist tribunals, and internal investigations and local and cross-border investigations by criminal and regulatory authorities.
Hughes joined Slaughter and May in London in 2003, and moved to Hong Kong in 2010.
With his arrival, Eversheds Sutherland’s litigation and disputes group in Hong Kong now has 18 lawyers.
