This is an exciting oppportunity for a mid to senior level lawyer to work on cross-border corporate transactions, including merger and acquisitions, private equity transactions, takeovers, IPOs and joint ventures, and advise on a mix of corporate strategic transactions and financial sponsor deals across Southeast Asia for the financial services, consumer and technology sectors.
You will have the opportunity to work across practice groups both on corporate M&A deals and IPO. Given the nature of the deal flow the majority of the work is M&A focussed and the team only works on a limited number of big ticket IPO deals during the year.
You will be advising corporates and financial institutions on a range of public and private M&A transactions, HK IPO, venture capital funds, general corporate and regulatory work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and review documentation, demonstrate familiarity with precedents and market standards;
- Provide commercial and legal advice to the client;
- Supervise team and demonstrate control through effective control; and
- Network with clients to capitalize on new business opportunities.
- To succeed in this Managing Associate role, you should be able to contribute to knowhow, communicate assertively when under pressure and be a proactive team player.
Key Requirements:
- Excellent academic credentials
- 4-6 years PQE
- Experience within a top tier firm would have an added advantage
- Strong networking and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
