Channel Islands law firm Carey Olsen has hired litigator James Noble in Singapore to lead the firm’s litigation, insolvency and restructuring practice in Asia. Noble joins from offshore rival Harneys, where he was the managing partner of the Singapore office.
Noble is Carey Olsen’s third partner hire in Asia this year, the others being corporate specialists James Webb and Michael Padarin in Hong Kong. Both joined from fellow offshore firm Walkers.
Noble spent nearly a decade at Harneys, having joined the firm as an associate in Cayman Islands in 2010; he relocated to the Hong Kong office in 2012, and then moved last year to Singapore. Prior to Harneys, he was a senior associate at Norton Rose.
With nearly two decades of experience, Noble specialises in shareholder litigation, asset recovery, cross-border enforcement and insolvency. He has worked on commercial, trust and estate disputes.
