Ince has hired litigator Zhao Rong Ooi as a partner in Hong Kong from Hauzen, a firm that operates in association with PRC firm AnJie Law Firm.

Ooi joins an Ince that is expanding steadily in Hong Kong. In March last year, the firm launched its corporate finance and construction practice in Hong Kong after hiring partners hired Eric Lui, Ian Lo and Alfred Lau along with their team of 25 lawyers from ONC Lawyers.

With experience of about 15 years in the legal industry, Ooi specialises in cross-border commercial disputes and advises state-owned enterprises and listed private companies. He started his career with Rajah & Tann and has since then worked with Clyde & Co, HFW, DLA Piper, Watson Farley & Williams, and offshore firm Maples and Calder.

Last year, London-listed Gordon Dadds acquired the legacy Ince & Co; the combined firm was rebranded as the Ince Group.

With the addition of Ooi, Ince now has 11 partners in Hong Kong.
