CMS has quickly replenished its IP stocks in Singapore after hiring a team of IP lawyers from local firm JurisAsia, including managing partner Sheena Jacob.

CMS recently lost Jeremy Tan, the technology and communications practice head of its Formal Law Alliance firm Holborn Law, to Bird & Bird.

Jacob, who also headed the IP team at JurisAsia, specialises in technology, data, life sciences and patent prosecution and has advised startups, government and statutory boards.

Prior to her time at JurisAsia, Jacob was at firms such as Bird & Bird and Tan Rajah & Cheah.

The hire of the JurisAsia IP team comes weeks after Lau, Horton & Wise, CMS’ associate firm in Hong Kong, brought on board a three-member IP team from Stephenson Harwood in January.
