Personal Details
Iwan Nurjadin is one of the founding partners of NSMP and is currently the managing partner of the firm. He graduated from University of Indonesia with a degree in law in 1993 and continued his studies at Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois where he obtained a Master of Laws degree in 1997.
Mr. Nurjadin is an aviation specialist. He focuses his practice on the aviation industry and airline related businesses, such as aircraft financing, airlines business start-up and reorganization, airport management and airport related businesses, airline catering services, and logistics business. He has extensive experience in handling aircrafts and airline business related transactions.
Mr. Nurjadin has represented various foreign aircraft lessors in connection with the aircrafts purchased or leased by Indonesian airline operators and as well as European banks in connection with the financing of aircrafts acquisition into Indonesia. He has also acted on behalf and advised major Indonesian airline operators in fleet acquisition including delivering 12 aircraft in a single transaction, involving a wide variety of aircrafts, from wide body to narrow body aircraft.
Mr. Nurjadin has advised on widely diversified legal issues in connection with joint ventures, fleet modernization, corporate restructuring and financing for major airlines operators in Indonesia. He has also advised on behalf of his client in connection with the first start-up regional airline in one of the provinces, Indonesia. He also has represented investors in the acquisition of a major catering company in Indonesia who serve the aviation and oil and gas industry. Mr. Nurjadin has also been successful in repossession of aircrafts in Indonesia without having go through the courts.
Mr. Nurjadin actively participates in various local and international seminar, workshop and convention on the aviation and airlines industry.
