Advisory firm FTI Consulting has bolstered its financial crime compliance practice with the hire of forensic and litigation experts Andrew McCarthy and Anna Bleazard in Singapore from Deloitte, where they were partner and director, respectively.
McCarthy joins as a senior managing director and head of the financial crime compliance practice, while Bleazard has been appointed as a managing director.
McCarthy specialises in anti-money laundering, sanctions, and anti-bribery and corruption compliance. He has advised global and regional financial institutions on assessment, design and implementation of financial crime programmes. Earlier, McCarthy was a senior economic advisor at the U.S. Department of Defence specialising in financial intelligence.
Meanwhile, Bleazard advises on financial crime and forensic accounting, including fraud, bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering and general compliance investigations. Bleazard’s advisory and investigative experience includes involvement with the U.S., UK and Singapore regulators and law enforcement agencies.
