Kirkland & Ellis has boosted its debt finance practice group with the appointment of Manas Chandrashekar as a partner in Hong Kong from Latham & Watkins.

Chandrashekar, a UK and U.S.-qualified lawyer, advises private equity sponsors on international leveraged and structured finance across Asia.

Prior to joining Latham in 2016, Chandrashekar worked with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in London, and also had brief stints at White & Case and AZB & Partners.

With his appointment, Kirkland’s now has 40 partners in Hong Kong.
