UK-headquartered firm Withers has expanded its litigation and arbitration practice in Singapore with the hire of partner Chenthil Kumarasingam  and his team from Oon & Bazul.

Kumarasingam handles commercial and civil disputes across banking, financial, mining and aviation industries. He also advises on matters relating to cross-border investment and joint venture disputes, company and shareholder disputes, banking and securities claims, insolvency, commercial fraud and professional disciplinary and white-collar criminal matters.

Prior to joining Oon & Bazul, Kumarasingam was a director at another local firm, Quahe Woo & Palmer.

Kumarasingam is Withers’ second disputes lateral hire in Asia since April, when it added partner Sherlin Tung to its international arbitration practice in Hong Kong from CMS.
