Shearman & Sterling has hired finance specialist Gary Hamp as a partner in London from Latham & Watkins in Hong Kong.

The news of his exit comes shortly after Latham announced the hire of another finance partner in Hong Kong, Andrew Bishop, who joined from White & Case.

Hamp focuses on banking, acquisition, leveraged finance, PE/VC, restructuring, insolvency, distressed investments, and structured secured lending.

Hamp moved to Hong Kong during his 11-year stint at Hogan Lovells, where he was a partner.
