Singapore’s Harry Elias Partnership has hired banking and finance specialists Pearl Lim and Chan Wai Chong as partners from Withers.

They are the second and third partner hires for Harry Elias since the firm split from Eversheds Sutherlands in June. In October, Harry Elias added construction and engineering expert Yvonne Foo from Clyde & Co.

Lim specialises in real estate, project and receivables finance and distressed debt transactions, advising clients including international banks, financial institutions, family offices and private clients.

Meanwhile, Chan advises banks and borrowers on domestic and cross-border loan transactions, restructuring and insolvency.

With the additions of Lim and Chan, Harry Elias currently has 25 partners.
