Squire Patton Boggs has hired Kate Sherrard as a partner in Singapore from Clifford Chance, where she was previously head of that firm’s Asia-Pacific maritime and offshore group.

Sherrard advises on cross-border financing of maritime and offshore oil and gas assets for corporates, leasing companies, banks and financial investors.

Joining Sherrard on her move to Squire Patton Boggs is senior associate Bernice Chia.

Squire Patton Boggs launched its global commodities and shipping group in 2019 after hiring partners Barry Stimpson and Jessica Kenworthy in Singapore from Reed Smith.
