Su Yeol Lee, Sang Jae Park, and Young Hyun Kim

Big Six Korean law firm Yoon & Yang has bolstered its disputes offering with the additions of three new partners: Former presiding judges Su Yeol Lee and Sang Jae Park, and former chief prosecutor Young Hyun Kim.

Kim, who joins the firm’s criminal defence practice, handled the prosecutions of environmental crimes at the Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office before shifting to special corporate investigations. His practice focuses on foreign criminal matters, tariff and foreign exchange transactions.

Meanwhile, Park, an expert in criminal and warrant cases, joins Yoon & Yang’s corporate litigation practice after a 15-year career as a judge. He served on the bench of the Incheon, the Seoul Central, the Mokpo Branch of the Gwangju, and the Goyang Branch of the Uijeongbu district courts.

Lee, who also joins the firm’s corporate litigation practice, was most recently a presiding judge of the Criminal Settlement Board at the Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Court. He has worked on civil and criminal cases, and corporate rehabilitations, and served as a research judge at the Supreme Court of Korea.

The trio joins a few months after Yoon & Yang hired Seung-Kook Synn and Sung Uk Park as partners in Seoul from conglomerate SK Group and Kim & Chang, respectively.
