Christopher & Lee Ong (CLO), Rajah & Tann Asia’s Malaysia member firm, has named Shanti Geoffrey as the co-head of its white-collar crime and investigations practice. Geoffrey was previously running her own firm, Shanti G and Co.

Geoffrey is CLO’s second lateral hire this year, following the addition of Chua See Hua in March.

At CLO, Geoffrey will advise and represent clients before the courts on different aspects of regulatory compliance and enforcement matters involving possible accounting and corporate fraud, criminal breach of trust, market manipulation, insider trading, and corruption.

Previously, Geoffrey worked at Securities Commission Malaysia for more than 25 years in various roles. She was also a part of the core team involved in drafting the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007, and the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act 2001.
