Jingtian & Gongcheng has hired capital markets expert Liu Wei as a partner in its Hong Kong office from DLA Piper, where he was the head of the China practice.

Liu’s hire come less than a month after Jingtian’s Hong Kong office hired Du Jun as its head of debt capital markets practice. Du joined from King & Wood Mallesons. 
Liu, who was one of first PRC lawyers to practice in Hong Kong, also focuses on cross-border M&A, FDI, real-estate, and foreign dispute resolution. He has more than three decades of experience.
A statement from Jingtian said that Liu will lead a corporate team also includes partner Justin Ma.
