Singapore boutique PDLegal has established an India desk with the hire of Lakshman Shankar as a partner. Shankar was earlier a partner at Indian law firm Dua Associates.

Registered as a foreign lawyer in Singapore, Shankar last worked with ECLAT Health Solutions from 2016 to 19, where he was a general counsel and vice president legal, according to his LinkedIn profile.

His areas of practice include commercial litigation, international arbitration, company law and real estate. Apart from Dua, Shankar also worked at Indian law firm Tatva Legal.

Founded in 2017, PDLegal now has seven partners. In November last year, it hired partners Mike Chiam and Kyle Gabriel Peters from CNP Law and K&L Gates Straits Law, respectively.
