Hogan Lovells has hired Biswajit Chatterjee as a partner in Singapore from Squire Patton Boggs, where he was co-chair of the firm's India practice and head of the Southeast Asia corporate practice.

Chatterjee joined SPB in 2014 from DLA Piper, where he also led the India group. Prior to that he worked at Allen & Overy, Clyde & Co and Jones Day. He focuses on equity and debt capital markets, corporate finance, M&A and PE transactions across technology, fintech, energy, financial services, defence, infrastructure, real estate, retail and hospitality industries.

Hogan Lovells has been acting on a number of recent deals in India's technology sector, including advising e-commerce company Flipkart on almost $2 billion of fundraisings in 2020, and counseling Facebook on a $5.7 billion investment in Jio Platforms.
