Indonesia’s Guido Hidayanto & Partners (GHP) has added commercial lawyer Yohanes Masengi as a partner in Jakarta from Makarim & Taira S, where he worked for more than 15 years.

Masengi advises on investment, infrastructure, power projects, ports, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, employment and corporate restructuring.

He joined Makarim in 2005, and became the firm’s youngest partner. Masengi was named on the ALB Indonesia Rising Stars list in both 2019 and 2020.

With Masengi joining, GHP now has 12 partners.

Global law firm Morrison Foerster has announced that private equity veteran Scott Jalowayski will rejoin the firm as a partner in Singapore. Jalowayski most recently co-chaired the global private equity group at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
