Rita Ku, a former partner at Withers, has left to set up her own firm in Hong Kong. Rita Ku & Solicitors (RKS) specialises in family law.

With close to 20 years of experience in family law, including more than a decade at Withers, Ku focuses on family dispute matters, concerning jurisdiction, divorce, children, ancillary relief and more. She also advises on various ancillary relief issues involving complex asset holdings structures.

At Withers, Ku was a partner in the divorce and family team, and also a regional divisional leader of the dispute resolution team in Hong Kong. In 2021, she a finalist in the category of Woman Lawyer of the Year at the ALB Hong Kong Law Awards.

Three associates have joined Ku in moving from Withers with RKS. They are Elaine Cheung, Sarina Cheung, and Natalie Leong. Additionally, RKS has hired Sindy Wong as a senior associate from HSBC. Before moving in-house, Wong worked at Withers for more than six years.
