newsHiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung, Herbert Smith Freehills’ Indonesia association firm, has hired Abimata Putra (L) and Irfan Ghazali as partners in Jakarta. While Abimata was most recently at HHP Law Firm, Irfan joins from an in-house role at telecom company Sarana Menara Nusantara.

With a focus on cross-border M&A and financial services including insurance, Abimata joined HHP in 2017. He was earlier at Makes & Partners.

Irfan’s experience mainly covers TMT and telecoms infrastructure, public M&A and capital markets. Also a former lawyer with Makes, he moved to Sarana Menara Nusantara in 2018, and most recently held the role of vice-president – corporate secretary there.

With these additions, Hiswara’s partner strength has risen to 11. It has also recently promoted Cellia Cognard to senior international counsel and Stephanie to partner in Jakarta.
