Hong Kong law firm Howse Williams has hired property law expert Jovanne Zee as a partner from the UK-headquartered Charles Russell Speechlys.

Zee, who joins Howse Williams’ property and building management practice, is the firm’s third lateral partner-level hire in the past few weeks. In May, the firm added insurance expert Gary Chow and corporate specialist William Wong from Clyde & Co and Clifford Chance, respectively.

Zee advises property developers, private equity funds, affluent families, multinational corporations and financial institutions on sale and purchase, leasing, licensing and land related security financing of commercial, residential and industrial properties in Hong Kong, as well as due diligence on property ownership and encumbrances prior to corporate listing and restructuring for corporate clients and financial institutions in the city.

Having worked at Robertsons and Reed Smith earlier in her career, Zee spent eight years at Stephenson Harwood starting from 2013. She joined Charles Russell Speechlys in 2021.

With this addition, Howse Williams has now 29 partners.
