Tokyo law firm City-Yuwa Partners has taken over nine-lawyer boutique Soga Law Office. The merger will be effective on Jan. 1, 2023.

Through this merger, City-Yuwa aims to grow its strength in cross-border work in Asia, particularly in China and Vietnam.

Following the integration, the combined firm will have 83 partners.
