DLA Piper has hired M&A expert Xin Fang as a partner in its Hong Kong corporate practice from Mayer Brown, where she was a counsel.
She becomes DLA’s fifth partner hire in Hong Kong in just over a year, and its second in as many months. The most recent two hires were from Linklaters: In December, the firm added banking expert Trinh Hoang, while in May, it hired projects lawyer Crystal Chen.
Fang advises on cross-border M&As, joint ventures, private equity transactions and corporate and commercial law with a focus on Greater China and the Asia-Pacific region. She also negotiates shareholder agreements, share purchase agreements and business transfer agreements.
With Fang’s arrival, DLA now has 28 partners in Hong Kong.
