Clifford Chance, Kirkland & Ellis and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas have advised Swiss PE firm Partners Group on its $400 million acquisition of Indian renewable energy platform Sunsure Energy, which was represented by Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

According to the Economic Times, the investment in Sunsure Energy, which has historically built solar plants for commercial and industrial users, will help transform the company into an independent power producer which will have 3 GW of operational capacity and sell power directly to commercial and industrial customers.

The Clifford Chance team was led by partner Tom Lin. The CAM team was led by partner Dhruv Singhal, while the SAM team was led by partners Mithun Thanks, Deepto Roy and Anjali Menon Malhotra.
