India’s legal market continues to see lawyer movement, with ANM Global, Keystone Partners, Sagus Legal, and Singhania & Partners recently bringing on board new partners.

Mumbai-headquartered Keystone Partners has welcomed back Aditya Chatterjee as a partner in the firm’s Bengaluru office. Chatterjee was most recently practising as an independent counsel before the Supreme Court of India. Apart from a prior stint at Keystone, he also previously worked with Nayak & Srikumar, and AZB & Partners.

ANM Global has hired Arpit Choudhary as a partner in its media and entertainment practice in Mumbai. Choudhary joins from Bar & Brief Attorneys, where he was a partner and headed the media and entertainment transaction practice. Before that, he has worked with Sony Pictures, Naik Naik & Co, Zee Entertainment and Economic Laws Practice. Choudhary specialises in digital media, content acquisition, content syndication and other commercial dealings.

Singhania & Partners has appointed Varun Jain as a partner in its regulatory and government advisory practice in Delhi from Google, where he was head of government affairs and public policy in India for Compute+. Prior to joining Google in 2021, Jain was in in-house roles at Honeywell, Gilead, Tata Consultancy Services and Medtronic.

Apoorva Misra has joined the Delhi office of Ahlawat and Associates as partner and head of the dispute resolution practice. Misra advises government entities, Indian companies and multinationals on transactions involving regulatory issues. Before joining Ahlawat and Associates, Misra worked with Trilegal, JSA, HSA Advocates, and Sterlite Power.

New Delhi-based Sagus Legal has bolstered its corporate and M&A practice by hiring Neha Sinha as a partner. Sinha joins from Luthra & Luthra Law Offices India, where she was a partner. Prior to that, she was with Nishith Desai Associates and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas. Sinha advises corporates on group restructurings, outbound expansion, and investments, and advises foreign businesses on their India entry strategies.
