Indian law firm J. Sagar Associates (JSA) has hired Anirudh Kapoor and Gaurav Wahie as partners in Gurugram. While Kapoor was a counsel at Trilegal, Wahie, joins from Bahrain’s Almoayed Chambers, where he has a partner.

Kapoor’s expertise lies in private equity investments, debt financing, and corporate advisory. He also has experience in restructuring distressed assets, due diligence, and investment structuring.

Wahie, on the other hand, focuses on corporate and commercial transactions, joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions. He joined Almoayed Chambers in 2020 from Clasis Law, where he was a partner. Wahie also previously worked for law firms Indian Law Partners, DSK Legal, Talwar Thakore & Associates, and Fox Mandal & Associates.

The hires of Kapoor and Wahie come shortly after JSA added two other corporate partners in Gurugram, namely Shraddha Krishnan Dash (also previously a counsel at Trilegal), and Varun Sehgal, who was VP legal at Oyo Hotels and Homes.

The office also recently lost a team of corporate lawyers to IndusLaw, led by partner Shantanu Jindel.
