U.S. law firm Squire Patton Boggs has hired data security and technology specialist Charmian Aw as a partner in Singapore from Reed Smith.

With more than a decade and a half of experience, Aw advises international companies on multijurisdictional projects regarding compliance, data governance, digital transformation, emerging technologies, cybersecurity readiness and incident response, and cross-border transfers. Prior to joining Reed Smith in 2018, Aw worked for Singapore Big Four law firm Drew & Napier for nearly 12 years.

With this addition, the number of Squire Patton Boggs partners in Singapore is now 11. These include shipping specialist Joel Cockerell, who joined as a partner from HFW in August last year.
