Indian law firm Trilegal has recruited Payel Chatterjee, head of litigation at Adani Enterprises, as a partner in Mumbai.

Recently, the firm said it was bringing on board eight corporate partners from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, namely Amit Khansaheb, Vishruta Kaul, Nikhil Sachdeva, Rishi Jain, Abhishek Dubey, Rahul Chugh, Prateek Lala and Pratyush Singh.

With more than 13 years of experience, Chatterjee advises on dispute resolution, international arbitration, litigation and white-collar investigations involving financial crimes, bribery, corruption, and internal fraud.

Before joining Adani in 2021, Chatterjee worked for over a decade at Nishith Desai Associates, where she was head of its international disputes team from 2017. She began her career at Seth Dua & Associates.

With her arrival, Trilegal will have 45 partners in Mumbai, and 102 nationally.
